Salve a tutti, qualche giorno fà ho riscontrato delle difficoltà di maf con il mio obiettivo tamron 17-50mm vc e la mia 450d. Avevo provato a fare qualche foto al tramonto dal balcone di casa inquadrando prima dei palazzi e poi delle nuvole tinte di rosso ed avevo riscontrato il seguente problema: nel range di focale 17-24 la macchina non metteva a fuoco oltre i 3 mt, come è possibile evincere dalla ghiera numerata dell’obiettivo (maf spot centrale). ho provato con una luce più intesa in modo da evitare che il sistema di maf della canon andasse in tilt. Ho fatto dunque le stesse foto durante il giorno alle 11 di mattina inquadrando nuvole, palazzi ed altri elementi ma niente di niente, a quelle focali la maf non si schiodava dai 3 mt. MI è venuto il dubbio: è la macchina ad avere qualche problema o l’obiettivo? Sulla rete ho trovato questo post: http://forums.dpreview.com/forums/read.asp?forum=1031&message=28610966 in cui un utente riporta lo stesso problema concludendo però che era la macchina a non lavorare correttamente. questa sera ho fatto delle prove con un’altra 450d di un mio amico e lo stesso obiettivo ma non è cambiato nulla. Sarà l’obiettivo??? ed ecco che ora arriva il bello!!!!- il mio amico possiede un tamron 18-270 mm vc che ho provato prima nella sua macchina e poi nella mia e guardate cosa è successo!!!!! anche questo obiettivo nel range 18-24 mm ha lo stesso identico problema. Allora mi chiedo: ” Esiste un problema di compatibilità della 450d con questa marca??” “è un problema che comunque avrei anche con obiettivi diversi ma alle stesse focali?” Sarei grato di condividere la vostra esperienza. ciao

Ti rispondo più per stimolare la discussione che per dare soluzioni. Ho la 400D e il Tamron 17-50 non stabilizzato e non ho i pb che risocntri tu, per cui escluderei una qualche forma di incompatibilità. Tu hai una 450D ma sarebbe assai strano che una macchina basata su un progetto più che consolidato e che è sul mercato de qualche anno avesse incompatibilità con obiettivi altrettanto consolidati e provati sul campo. Non ci hai detto che tipo di maf stai usando: un solo punto, molti punti, pattern particolari, AI servo, ecc. Facci sapere. Ciao

ok puntualizzo meglio: MAF: spot con solo punto centrale selezionato, AF di tipo one shot. regolazione macchina apertura e tempi di tipo manuale. puntualizzo solo che l’obiettivo è quello vc quindi uscito da poco anche se il mio amico aveva un 18-270mm vc un pò più datato con lo stesso identico problema. ciao

l’attivazione/disattivazione dello stabilizzatore non ha cambiato le cose. ho provato altri obiettivi: un sigma 18-50 un tamron 18-200 con il primo avevo gli stessi problemi con il secondo invece andavo oltre l’infinito ma se mi spostavo come focale intorno ai 50 mi segnava 30 mt che era la distanza giustoa della parete inquadrata. ho provato il mio 17-50 tamron su una 500d con lo stesso risultato ma credo che la 450d e la 500d dal punto di vista della maf possono considerarsi la stessa macchina. suggerimenti?

Io ho avuto il liscio e l’ho massacrato per anni alla grande, veloce e senza mai perdere un fuoco, sopratutto da quando ho la 7D, accoppiata veloce e micidiale. Sono un grande fan e sostenitore di tamron e non potevo che parlarne bene e consigliarlo. Purtroppo devo dire che da quando ho upgradato al 17-50 VC, ho notato qualcosa di analogo a ciò che si legge in giro. Non l’ho usato moltissimo, ma purtroppo m’è saltato il fuoco dove con il liscio non saltava mai (cannato proprio il fuoco e con una 7d a luce del giorno è tutto dire). All’inizio ho pensato fosse colpa mia che non ero magari pratico con il nuovo vc o simili invece nada. Non appena ho il tempo di fare prove più ortodosse vi tengo aggiornati, nel frattempo parlerò con il mio venditore e con polyphoto che incontrerò al taormina photo digital. Spero sia niente di particolare e sistemabile con un fw o sinceramente ci rimarrei molto male, avendo speso cmq dei bei soldi per questo upgrade.

il mio venditore digitalphoto, è stato molto disponibile e mi ha dato delle spiegazioni sulla possibile causa. Se fosse confermato il difetto, e credo che possa esserlo, è necessario mandare l’accoppiata macchina obiettivo alla tamron per una taratura tramite software. Bella rottura direi. certo che se hai avuto il problema con la 7d….la mia povera 450d allora proprio arranca. vi tengo informati

Purtroppo il problema è confermato, ne ho parlato con un responsabile di Polyphoto a Taormina. Non riguarda tutti i corpi macchina Canon e la cosa buffa è che riguarda anche delle ottiche canon 😀 La cosa spiacevole è che ancora non si sa chi come dove e quando potrà risolvere il problema, e come risolvero con gli utenti… Tamron Lens Phenomenon Update · NOVEMBER 11, 2010 · THIRD PARTY LENSES · FOLLOW ON OUR FORUM UPDATE #2 New Information about that phenomenon, which is not just a Tamron phenomenon anymore. A guy at the DSLR-forum replaced the Lens-IDs with an EF adapter and found out that the cross-type sensors won’t work on Lenses with the following IDs: 27, 30, 35, 37, 38, 193, 194, 195). So Tamron was just unlucky by taking the wrong IDs. The following is a direct quote from the folks that found the problem. Tamron’s response is at the bottom. i am a member of the german dslr-forum (www.dslr-forum.de), which is probably the biggest german speaking community regarding all DSLR-topics (not only Canon). We observed a phenomenon where the followings lenses won’t use the outer cross-type sensors of EOS 40/50/60/7D cameras right. The lenses that show this problem are (all Tamron): · 17-50 f/2.8 VC · 60 f/2 Macro · 70-200 f/2.8 · 10-24 f/3.5-4.5 To get a bit more into the detail of the problem – on the 40/50/60D cameras the outer cross-type sensors only work as line-type sensors. To be a bit more correct, they actually work in the same direction as they would work on cams like the 30D or like the 400/450/500/550D. When it comes to the 7D the outer sensors are also only working as line-type sensors (but it seems, that the EF 50 1.2L also has problems to use them correct). The center cross-type sensor does work at least as a single-cross type sensor (infact we don’t now how to test if the center sensor is working as a dual-cross-type sensor like it’s supposed to work with those f/2.8 and better lenses). Tamron seems to not know about this behaviour so far. Well – at least, they didn’t confirmed the problem and only said, that they will investigate this. Maybe a small addition – the Tamron 17-50 VC uses the same lens-ID as the EF 35-80 – maybe you’ll have the chance to check whether this Canon-lens performs correctly or not.
